I posted my resolutions for accountability, and I regret to announce that I’m already struggling. When my plate is full, my mind wants to wander off to never-never land. Where I can daydream of things like such:
Thanks to my father, who knows us (me + Chance) all too well. Just last night we (chance and i) were talking about how sweet it’d be to find our dreamboat Airstream before we head west to Texas for Roundtop with my new internet friend Courtney (check out her blog) + her husband. Low and behold I come in this morning and what’s in my inbox… none other than an email from dear old dad… saying let’s get this and share it:
It’s on ebay and up to a whopping $202.00. Description says "for parts" meaning… the guy thinks it’s useless. But the guy doing the description doesn’t know me and my husband, we can bring anything to life. So we are "watching".
Another we enjoy drooling over:
DWR does travel trailer. How fun would tailgating be in this bad boy!
We (especially with our resolution to save) probably could make a vintage one just as sweet as that little man above.
Especially considering I was browsing around on Domino’s next month previews and saw this little gem:
Can you believe your eyes? That is an Acme 3-in-1. What, you might ask does that mean? That means that within that 30" little beauty is 1) a refrigerator, 2) a stovetop, and 3) a sink. All the modern conveniences a girl like me would not want to do with out!
Photo courtesy of NY Times, where they featured the above Airstream "Bambi" circa 1960, which has now been added to the design collection at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC.
Okay, now back to work!!!

YEAHHHH!!!! Man, ride to Texas in style. That’s what I’m talking about. I would definitely have a serious case of trailer envy
I’m so glad our blogs introduced us! You’re fantastic!!
Greg desperately wants an Airstream. I think, if we do ever get one, he will have to settle on something much larger to accommodate our growing brood. Because we have all these stinkin’ boys, he says when we retire we’ll buy an Airstream and just travel around the country visiting our children in lieu of buying a house (we figure since they aren’t girls they won’t be home much). I’m not sure I’m keen on spending my golden years without a house, but we’ll see.
