Terriers

Don't those two look like fun!?

P&P would be in high-heaven with them.

Paul Costello's portfolio is full of dogs… I find it delightful… it says "someone really lives here".

  1. Love these pictures! Must get the book. Thanks!

  2. well the cow is ALMOST the size of my dog, Sweet Burks, so of course it counts!
All these dog-in-house photos remind me I need to go vacuum up some doggie hair that’s floating across my wood floors!

  3. I agree about the dogs – it always makes me love a room more! This looks like a great book, I’ll have to check it out.

  4. love them!
and the cow!!! I just laughed outloud! when I was a kid we definitely had a “pet” cow that we bottlefed and who thought he was a dog because we didn’t have any other cows — and his name was Rooster, which probably contributed to his confusion. he would escape from the pasture and look in the front windows just like that picture!

  5. This is wonderful! My home is not my home unless I am greeted at the door by my two energetic pups… it is by far the best part of my day.

  6. i’m always so jealous of people with dogs! we need one – yes, need one – but then we would get kicked out of our apartment. sigh. we did sneak my sister’s chihuahua in for the weekend and it was so fun – the boys loved it! hopefully soon…

  7. Erika – each image made me think , “Oh, this is my favorite.” I do especially adore the dog on the table.

  8. we cannot imagine our home without a (very large) doggie indoors. and like courtney said, we take the floating hair and all.

  9. I’ve got a Maltese Terrier that lives in the house, oh did I say she LIVES in my house, no actually we live in HER house LoL. At this very minute she’s lying on the foot of our bed and just got annoyed when I picked something up and blocked her view from the TV and yes she moved around to continue watching her show, she also hogs the heater.

  10. I agree. People who think you shouldn’t have pets inside creep me out. What’s a little hair on your floor, pants, food? I mean, relax;) Dogs are the absolute, most precious things. I usually like them more than most people! Whoops, did I say that out loud?

  11. We have a smooth red dachshund named Fred who is the best part about our house. He reminds me everyday to stop and take a moment (usually to scratch his belly!). He also reminds me that stuff is just that: stuff! So I try not to panic when he crawls and digs on our silk duponi duvet cover. Silk is resilliant, right? :)

  12. I was just looking at my sweet Chloe (she’s a basset) thinking how darn cute she looked and I wish I had a picture of her. These examples are great!

  13. Our coffee table is calling this book! My fav is the cow! Now is this in the book or did you add it?!
Our Kelly girl (lakeland terrier rescue) a few years back won a dog house from a photo contest- we were the only people on the block that had a house within a house! That house sat in our great room for months! She lives, runs and rules our home. Oh yeah and the bed!

  14. I need this book. I love it- especially that first photo!!!

i would take that cute cow too!

  16. I love DOGS more than most people I know!..LOL…….Wonderful pics of “man’s best friend”! Would love to get the book!
    BTW….love the cow too!

  17. Love the cow! Now that I could live with.
That reminds me of family members who had a pretty large house in rural upstate New York. When they finally decided to move they sold the house to a women with horses. She made some changes to the back of the house to allow the houses to come in and out of the house freely.

  19. I absolutely love this post (and the inclusion of the cow! What a sweet face!) We have two “indoor” dogs, and my home would not be complete without them!

  20. Oh wow, I love all these pictures! Dogs really do make a home feel homey, don’t they? I lived in a house where I couldn’t have more than fish as pets for a few years, and it was very depressing to me. Then my husband and I moved last summer and got a few cats and dogs, and we are in heaven!
Thanks for giving me a smile today!

  21. these pictures are awesome…just like your blog!!!
