It's early. And it's been pouring for hours. I am a light sleeper… so I am wide-awake.
I was just thinking, it'd sure be nice to take the day off and curl up on the sofa with some hot tea, watch talk shows all day, maybe even order pizza for lunch, popcorn for a mid-afternoon snack. The Weather Channel says the rain is gonna be around for a few days.
So, it's very unrealistic to take today off, but these interiors scream 'rainy day' to me, like they are summoning me to come over and watch it pour.
Don't you like to snuggle in when it's raining? I sure do.

Having grown up in N. Califoria and currently living in Phoenix, I so miss a good rainy day.
The urn sink is so interesting! What a fab look for a powder room. I just found out yesterday that I’m having a baby girl!! I need some nursery ideas; do you have any suggestions as to magazines or books to flip through? Or if you have *time* (haha), devote a blog to girly nurseries? TIA

Ahhh… a day on the sofa sounds nice- I think we are expecting rain (Chicago area) but I don’t think that will give me a day off.

I love snuggling when it rains too!
Rainy days (especially when they happen on the weekend when I CAN be home) always becon me to our darkish office/tv room with a good magazine and a blanket. The nap is just part of the deal!
While it is not raining here in Kansas, it has cooled off and is beautiful.
Just like comment 1 I love the shower curtain showed in the 1st picture. It seems to be a linen with the great tassel’s. Would love this as a curtain. MB

It’s been raining here most of the day too and I’ve been so unmotivated to do anything! I too like to just sit around the house when it’s raining… I love to fall asleep listening to rain. I wish my house looked that cozy – unfortunately, due to the lack of motivation, there are boxes and clothes everywhere and dishes are piling up…I need to get to work
I think you should take an impromptu day off. Blame it on me. And you can watch another one of your art videos! Everyone needs an inspiration day from time to time.

Hey, I have enjoyed a lazy rainy day her in NE Alabama! I have flipped through magazines, watched tv and drank many cups of java! Love the pictures! Especially the living room one….scrumptious! I am enjoying your blog so much …..I got hooked when my dear friend sent me the one on her daughter, Anne Turner. So glad she did ’cause your blog has led me to your sister’s and others too. Your day off sounds great! I love to snuggle in on a rainy day. It is always harder to function in the morning, and work, on gloomy days.
That’s exactly what I did today. All this rain (mold) is driving my sinuses crazy!
