be back soon

Spindles

I hate to vent, but I am not well.  I feel like I swallowed a porcupine.  My head is splitting and those glands in my neck, you know the ones under your ears, well mine feel like they might explode.

I plugged in the humidifier last night and was awake most of the night taking in deep breaths over the top of it, my head hanging over the side of the bed… can you picture it?  Only to get up this morning and realize the humidifier is broken and wasn't working all night long.  All those deep breaths for nothing.

If you'll pardon me for a couple of days, I have a lot of business to tend to… but promise I'll be back soon.

  1. Hope you feel better soon. I know what it feels like to be a stuffy mess but not be able to take anything good! I recommend the Vicks Shower Soother tablets… kind of like a big alka-seltzer tablet for your shower, it might help… or help you wake up and start your day!

  2. feel better soon! God Bless!

  3. take care of you and the baby, that’s what matters. we are always here when you get back.

  6. Oh, yucky-yuck! I know how you feel – been battling the same bug – how’d that rascal make it all the way up there, anyway?
Don’t worry about the email/MLHP post request I sent to you. Sounds like you have plenty else on your plate.

Hope you feel better. Try the Vicks Plug ins for kids. They work great. (It smells like Vicks, but hey, open the windows once you wake up.)
Today’s photo inspired me to finally get moving on my lame staircase. I just ordered some 3M spindle tape.

  9. I know the feeling! I woke up with sciatic pain this morning…I thought 19 weeks was kind of early for that?! I hate not being able to take any medicine for the stuffy nose/headaches….but better safe than sorry. Hope the rest of your day goes better!

  10. Oh dear~ do rest as much as you can and drink warm fluids. REST-REST-REST.

Hot showers and hot peppermint tea. This will not last forever. It just feels like it. Baby yourself.

  17. I am coming, I am coming! Promise! You know I can even fan you while I work. I am a great multi-tasker :-)

  18. I usually do not get sick easily and when I do, I knock it off pretty quickly, but when I was pregnant….BOY, I stayed sick with sinus/cold stuff. If your doctor approves, try sudafed and tylenol pm. Get lots of rest and lots of fluids….hope you feel better and get back on-line soon!

  19. I hope you feel better soon. I really enjoy your blog. Take Care

I truly hope you are feeling better! I just discovered your work/blog site two days ago and have been catching up on all your adventures…as well as Darby’s! I think you would enjoy the book “Bless Your Heart, Tramp!” by Celia Rivenbark…she is a southern humorist, and I always read something funny when I don’t feel well…laughter is medicine…try it!

  24. Recently started following your blog-beautiful work! I love reading all your ideas. On a completely different note–how is the architecture industry in South Walton right now? I have always wanted to practice in that area. Hope you feel better soon.
