Pardon the cobwebs.
Yesterday I bought this antique Italian Tole chandelier for the nursery.
I'm leaning towards soft pink walls and a darker shade of the same color on ceiling.
Did you notice the rope that bunches the flowers together at the base? That detail totally sealed the deal for me.
And… if it's not a girl, this might be for sale tomorrow.

I adore this chandelier! Can’t wait to see the finished nursery!
LOVE it! Great choice!!!
this is lovely! it’s a perfect way to start the nursery!
LOVE this! How exciting. It makes me wish I had a nursery to decorate…but I think since I already have a teenager I’m good on the baby part
.
I’m so excited for you!
That makes me happy. My daughter has a similar one in her bedroom. I cannot wait to see this baby’s nursery- I know it will be fabulous.
I love it!! The rope was the first thing I noticed, such a great detail.
Love the chandelier. It reminds me of the one we bought when we were expecting our daughter. All our friends said, “What are you going to do if it’s a boy?” My reply was, “I hope he likes his chandelier.”
Erika, the chandelier is beautiful and will be a keepsake for your little peanut to use some day. I know I’m jumping the gun, she isn’t even here yet. LOL…
How cute! Love it. Hopefully the little peanut will cooperate tomorrow! Down your caffine;) Let me know after your appt.!!
XOXO
Gorgeous chandelier – the nursery will look wonderful, xv.
A perfect choice! Imagine how much she’ll love it.
Beautiful! Can’t wait to see what you do w/the nursery.
LOVE the chandelier. When I was pregnant with my 3rd child (a girl) I CRAVED all things citrus, especially lemonade. Another friend was confident that I was having a girl because she also craved lemony things when she was pregnant with her daughter. Pink lemonade you say? Pink walls they shall be.
Congratulations from a fan in Seattle, WA.
You have NO idea how excited I am to see your fab nursery … boy or girl.
ummm… where do the lightbulbs go? or is it a light-free chandelier? either way it is beautiful!!
Awwww – so lovely! Perfect 1st purchase – love it!
i hate it. SIKE!!! that is sick and i LURVE it. love it. are those of us done with babies gonna be sad that we didn’t know you until we were done and look at our nurseries and think “stinkin’ ugly nursery.” probably.
Beautiful, its going to look so pretty against the pink ceiling!!
Just catching up from the past few weeks but wanted to wish you and your husband all the best in his recovery and the peanut prep. Love the new light fixture! Will love wonderful against a pink ceiling.
If it’s for sale, i will buy it!! Have been looking for something like this for my daughter’s room!! It’s gorgeous, can’t wait to see the finished nursery
It’s a beaut, Clark. It’s a beaut.
Did I ever tell you about the one J and I bought for our 1st Anniversary gift? We thought, oh, all we have to do is wire it? EASY! We’ve taken it to 6 different professionals and no one can do it because of the construction. It still sits in our attic, well, now the storage building. J wanted to sell it at the garage sale and I freaked saying “We spent $75 on that and it was our first ann gift,” to which he replied, “It’s in the ATTIC 4 yrs later still inoperable.”
IT IS BEAUTIFUL!! I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!
Oh I love these chandeliers! I have two that I have been saving to install in my home someday. Your baby’s room will be so cute! I love the pink!
oh I love it! I have been looking for an antique chandelier for my daughter’s room. That one is perfect. (oh, and if it turns out that little missy isn’t a little missy afterall, I would gladly buy it from you) I can’t wait to see the rest of the nursery.
You are the most entertaining, enjoyable, sweet, adorable, inspiring, interesting blogger I have never met.
Thank you for sharing tidbits of your live with us. I am super excited for you.
Absolutely love this fixture for a nursery!
It is gorgeous! Your baby is going to have the most beautiful nursery ever!
that just makes me smile!! SO FUN!
and I’ll buy it off of you. Adorable.
I just spent a good hour, trying to read your blog from the beginning. To summarize, I am IN LOVE with your decorating style. Your house is just gorgeous. I totally heart your kitchen too. I actually just put up a photo on my blog of a stainless steel kitchen from the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Check it out…your kitchen is WAY more beautiful, but I thought it would be neat for you to see antoher kitchen done up with stainless. xoxo, Grace
Beautiful-I love it. I can even see it in a bathroom!
So cute! Can’t wait to see more as things all fall into place!
Love it, Erika! I have a towel bar in my powder bath that is very similar to this. It has the little white flowers on each side of the bar…so pretty!
Love it love it love it! I’m in a search right now for a chandelier for Abby Grace’s room in our new house! Of course I mean by I’m in a search I mean Megan! haha
This is beautiful. When I had my daughter I bought her a chandelier. It has moved with house to house. Although I would change it for one as lovely as that one.
so pretty! can you share where you found it?
Darling! Would you be willing to share the pink paint colors you’re considering? I’m having such a hard time finding a pretty pale pink for my daughter’s room… Congrats again and thanks!
super cute! the dark ceiling will be fantastic.
Adorable! I love it!
This is just too cute!!
Not at all surprised. Spectacular.
Does your sweet baby realize that she’s already destined to be the most stylish girl in her class? School? County? State?
All I can say is where were you when I cranked out all four of my offspring? Could have really used your fierce touch on a nursery. [sigh]
Darling!
Congratulations on your little girl! I cannot wait to see how beautifully you put her room together. This chandelier is just gorgeous!
I love the rope detail. Are you leaving it ‘as is’?
Hi Erika. I love that chandelier and found a similar lamp today on Etsy. I thought I’d pass it on in case you were interested…
