Urban Grace Interiors {the blog} bio picture

Welcome to my blog!

My name is Erika and this is my blog.  You might have come here from my old blog- if so please update your feed or bookmark the new site... I promise it'll be much better than the old blog.  If you are new around here welcome!  I'm so glad you are here.  A little background on me: I am a new mom to a precious little girl, a designer, a wife, and the mother of two rescued dogs (Penelope & Paisley).  I am passionate about design, and I also enjoy gardening, good pens, art, photography, antiques, traveling, and rescued animals.

If you are curious about my design business, Urban Grace Interiors, you can click that link above titled "Portfolio" that will take you to official website.  This blog is just my daily ramblings... some of which are design related, and some of which are not.  I hope you like what you find here... I aim to inspire.

MMMMMM

Just browsing the www… and what did I find (at MABelle), Land’s End has a new line called Canvas!  I love it!  I’ll take that sweater in both colors please.  Why is a 100% cotton sweater so hard to find these days?  They are my most favorite kind.  Check out Canvas here.

LE Canvas

November 22, 2009 - 10:06 am Elizabeth - Lands End has nice things. The quality and price are on target. Have you checked out their baby clothes? They are really soft and affordable also!

November 22, 2009 - 10:31 am Ivy Lane - We have Land's End shops in our dept stores.. I did buy some cotton twin sets in black and brown...the black has shrunk up and faded already after only a few wearings... I hand wash them and dry flat..and they still shrunk and faded... The ones I bought last year still look pretty good... quality in my opinion has gone down...Their cashmere sweaters hold up though!!! "Canvas" looks like it just may be a winner!

November 22, 2009 - 12:04 pm Molly Rosedale - Had no idea about this line! Thanks for posting.

November 22, 2009 - 12:17 pm Karena - Very nice, love the bag and sweater, very comfortable look! Lands End is classic and yes, good quality.

November 22, 2009 - 1:19 pm Susan - Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I've always liked their swimwear (and REALLY like the CANVAS swimsuits), but had stopped shopping for me because the clothes lacked any edge. This new line deserves another look, and like you, I'm grateful for cotton anything!

November 22, 2009 - 1:45 pm Classic Bohemian - This new collection shows promise. It has been many years since I shopped at Lands' End, partly because their clothes began to have sizing problems, but mainly because their colors were willfully ugly and boring. Maybe I'll give them another chance.

November 22, 2009 - 1:59 pm Mag - My kids coats (and my own) always come from Lands End. You cant beat the quality for the price. And since my kids hand the coats down, they are always in great shape for the cousins. And it is dang cold here, we NEED warm coats!!

November 22, 2009 - 4:13 pm Jacci - hey, thanks for the heads up, Erika :)

November 22, 2009 - 4:34 pm Darby - Sister, Love it!! So glad you shared. Land's End has some really cute kids stuff at Sears too! Mom and DB and I hit it up in Chicago... really cute little dresses with leggings and tights! So fun, didn't see any Land's End baby stuff but the kids stuff and womens stuff was super fun... but this "Canvas" line takes the cake... thanks for sharing. Did you email this to DB with a "hint, hint" maybe you'll get a Canvas gift card for Christmas! :) Love you and my baby!

November 22, 2009 - 4:40 pm Darby - PS- Me again, you should tell Ivy Lane that I'm fairly confident the Lands End has an awesome return policy--- with what I think is a lifetime guarantee on their clothing... she should take her sweater set back if she's not happy!! Here's a link:http://canvas.landsend.com/canvas/customer-service/guarantee.htmlSeriously, Guaranteed Period! that is reason alone to shop there!!

November 22, 2009 - 5:06 pm The Countess of Nassau County - Promising indeed.

November 22, 2009 - 5:13 pm Kathy - Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I think I could take one of everything!

November 22, 2009 - 6:03 pm donna B - girlfriend, you would look amazing with just about anything you can find online or in a catalog...but, you're right it is cute!

November 22, 2009 - 6:16 pm paula - I love it too. If I recall correctly I think they shot in Rosemary recently. They even did a few shots in Tracery.

November 22, 2009 - 8:51 pm Erin - LOOOOOVE - thanks for sharing.

November 23, 2009 - 4:27 am pve - I am loving that dog too! pve

November 23, 2009 - 8:38 am allison - Looks like the same Landsend to me, just photographed differently. Once you shop Landsend, you will get lots of emails with coupons for free shipping and discounts. Another good thing is you can return everything to a Sears store which means no return costs for you...BTW...Landsend has the BEST bathing suits...the only bad thing (if you're like me and like a new suit each year) is they last forever!

November 23, 2009 - 9:32 am kelly@TearingUpHouses - I used to wear Land's End, but I haven't bought anything from them in ages. I'll have to check their sweaters out especially since I'll need them this year!) http://tearinguphouses.blogspot.com/2009/10/come-with-me.htmlKelly

November 23, 2009 - 9:40 am Dina - Thank you! I almost felt like I was on a mini J Crew website!

November 23, 2009 - 10:22 am doug - they sure did photograph next spring's catalog at Tracery...I hope it was some of this stuff, a lot better than the monogrammed crewneck sweaters I remember from Lands End days past

November 23, 2009 - 12:26 pm The Lil Bee - I'm with you on the 100% cotton sweaters...so true. I'll also take the puppy in that photo!

November 23, 2009 - 2:20 pm Jen - Wow, they sell Tretorns!!!!!!!!! Are Tretorns making a comeback?! I have the coolest pair of black watch print Tretorns in my closet, in the box, hardly worn.........might have to dig those out! Thanks for sharing---I agree; that sweater is fabulous, too!

November 23, 2009 - 2:26 pm Rachel Ridd - This is a great addition for Land's End. Do you what store you can buy this line in?

November 23, 2009 - 4:26 pm Barb Harper - oh my! thanks for pointing this out! I really like some of these items.

November 23, 2009 - 7:35 pm Melise - Oh Lordy, you should not have shown this to me! I'm sucker for a sweater. I have some my hubby calls my 'old lady' sweaters! haha

November 23, 2009 - 9:46 pm courtney riggin - I've been amazed at how the 'ole Lands End has revamped their look lately!

November 28, 2009 - 12:37 pm Mary Jane - Thank you so much for blogging about Land's End new line - I have to tell you I ordered the sweater and it almost looks as cute on a real person as it does on the model - I highly recommend it. I also bought their flip flops and tanks - I'm very pleased with all of them and their low cost. They sent me a free shipping coupon for myself and a friend. Since you introduced me to Canvas I would be happy to give you the free shipping code - let me know if you are interested.Happy Thanksgiving - I am thankful I found your blog this year - it has given me much inspiration and has made me smile often.
