A little background on me: I am a new mom to a precious little girl, a designer, a wife, and the mother of two rescued dogs (Penelope & Paisley). I am passionate about design, and I also enjoy gardening, good pens, art, photography, antiques, traveling, and rescued animals.

Is it weird to think about a stranger’s bathroom? Rita Konig, I think about your bathroom from time to time. I like your toilet, a lot. I think it’s the Toto Lloyd. And if it is, you are lucky. A good looking toilet indeed. I have your same sconces over the desk in my office and I love them. Your wallpaper is delightful and a nice scale for a little bathroom. Rarely do I see a room where I like everything. This is a room where I can honestly say that I like it all.

November 24, 2009 - 11:01 am - We just renovated and used all Toto toilets. Love them. Yes, it's possible to love a toilet:) And we also have that same exact Toto pedestal sink that's in the pic:) Would love for you to stop by my blog to check out the reno we've done. You were a big inspiration. Hope you and baby are well. Please post pics of her pretty face soon!!

I actually did a post on Benjamin Dhong's fabulous bathroom for a San Francisco show house after thinking about his moss velvet-covered Saarinen stools and tailored curtain treatment. { http://tinyurl.com/yzofal3 } He actually contacted me after that and he's got to be one of the nicest people around. The next week, I found a perfect condition Saarinen stool on Craigslist for $38! So, maybe all this bathroom thinking will lead to friendship with Rita and scoring some of those bathroom elements for yourself!

November 24, 2009 - 11:31 am - The one thing I never like seeing is the magazines or books in a bathroom photo. It always makes me think about why they would be there and then my thoughts start to go to the dark side. haha no pun intended. MB

November 25, 2009 - 9:37 am - Well, I guess you learn something new everyday! Especially from all the wonderful design blogs out there... Today... I learned about "Toto toilets"!! Gonna have to suggest that to my builders I work for in the next model home that is built!!! I like the wallpaper and the side table used to park the toiletries...okay..the pedestal sink too...and......
November 25, 2009 - 9:59 am - Love it!! Except the magazines - too germy being so close to the toilet, but that's just me. I just bought a replacement toilet lid yesterday at the local Ace. But would much rather have a black seat just like this Toto!

November 25, 2009 - 1:32 pm - Just following up on a post you did about strollers a few months ago...I just bought the black Joovy Kooper stroller from babiesrus.com. They have them on sale for $169, free shipping, no sales tax (at least for me in NC) and then there is a coupon for an additional 10% off. The coupon expires today, though...coupon code is 931609. So, if you are still thinking of that stroller, it's a great time to order one! I did test drive it and several others and thought it was the best for the price!Love your blog and love seeing that precious baby!
