MATTHEWS FAN CO.
Remember the Hunter Original ceiling fan I referenced in the "this + that" post? Well, I have an addition to my repertoire of "approved ceiling fans", that I don’t know how I could have forgotten. I’ve spec’d them for projects and they indeed are as cool as they look. They come with a hefty price tag {$1,500}… but don’t most things we love!?
I know that there are wanna-bes out there. In my opinion, they are nowhere near as cool, and this is 100% an instance where its better to go for the real deal, or not go this route at all. The knock-offs lack the Matthews logo, and the red (think Wolf range knobs) details, not to mention the POWER. These bad boys require special dimmer switches if you want to slow them down, and note: the engineering is real, the oscillation of the individual fans rotates the ceiling fan… slow down the oscillation of the individual fans- the fan circulates slower.
*re: the subject of this post- pardon the uber-cheesy play on words
